The SG550M-8M is the upgraded version of the popular SG580. It is a high performance camera with all advanced functions such as wireless, ultra long range, 8MP resolution and audio!
Note: To send pictures or videos to your cell phone or email, you will need a SIM card and a package from your cell phone provider who provides MMS (picture messaging) services. Packages range from $5 for limited use to $25/month for unlimited use. Please view our ScoutGuard Support Center for a list of updated FAQ's. AT&T and T-Mobile services use SIM cards and they will work, while Verizon will not.
MMS/SMS/E-mail via GSM/GPRS Network
GPRS technology greatly saves your communication cost. Using GPRS & MMS transmission to your Email/mobile phone, SG550M-8M sends pictures to your mobile phone and/or Email instantly after the pictures/videos are taken! Users must assure that 1) they have a cell service in the area to use the camera and 2) their provider uses the GPRS/GSM network and SIM cards.
